No Winter Lasts Forever

Good Morning. I am so happy warm weather has finally arrived.  We have had a lot of cool, rainy days! Yards are now in full bloom with so many beautiful flowers.

The large flower on this card was created using Susan's Garden Notes Lily die set.  I used Viva 3D-Stempel-Farbe paint to sponge color on the petals.  I blended Gold, Copper and Lava Red paints, using the lightest color on the ends of each petal.  The little flowers were created with the Chrysanthemum dies from Susan's Garden Patch 1 inch & Mini Daisy & Chrysanthemum dies.

The small leaves were die cut using the Els van de Burgt Studio Leafy Branch die.  Susan's Flower Tool Kit was used to shape each leaf. The butterflies and dragonfly were die cut using Susan's Garden Notes Bugs & Butterflies die set.  I used the Viva paint to color the dragonfly.

I love all the different frame dies that are in the Els van de Burgt Studio collection!  For the white frame I created today, I used the Dotted Scallop Rectangles and Fitted Frames 1 Lace Rectangles die sets.  It is so fun to be creative and see how many different looks you can achieve by using dies from the different frame sets, because they all coordinate together.  I first die cut the Dotted Scallop Rectangle, then used Susan's Pan Pastels to sponge on light blue, leaving the scallops white.  Then the two Fitted Frames were glued on. The sentiment is one of Susan's Seeds of Thoughts Rubber Stamps.  It was stamped using VersaFine Black Ink.

This is a 6x6 inch card.  I used a piece of the Through The Lens: Stone Series  cardstock for the background.  The white frame was attached using dimensional tape, then all other die cuts were attached with glue dots.  To finish the card, four white pearls were added to the frame.
